Deadlines:

Please note: There are 6 North American Saxophone Alliance Competitions.  There are three deadlines for competition application materials as follows:

NASA Solo Competition (age 26 and under) NOVEMBER 15, 2011 
NASA Composition Competition DECEMBER 1, 2011
NASA Young Artist Competition (age 15-19) DECEMBER 15, 2011
NASA Quartet Competition DECEMBER 15, 2011
NASA Jazz Competition (age 26 and under) DECEMBER 15, 2011
NASA Young Jazz Artist Competition (age 15-19) DECEMBER 15, 2011

As you enter the NASA Competitions, please note the following regarding the online application process: A link to the competition application pages will appear only after current student members of NASA have paid the competition entry fees. Professional members, and student members who have not yet paid the competition entry fees, will not see a link to the application pages. Biennial Conference Sponsor and Exhibit Information

On March 15-18, 2012, the Arizona State University School of Music and Saxophone Professor Tim McAllister will be hosting the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference.  We expect 400-500 people to be in attendance.  Many of these people will be professional saxophonists, professors of saxophone, college and high school students.

NASA College Solo Competition Applications

Dear Saxophonists: This is a reminder that the deadline for the NASA College Solo Competition application is Tuesday, November 15, 2011. You must be a current member of NASA to access the online competition application. Both the online application and competition information are available on the NASA website. 2011 Composition Competition - Saxophone and Piano

Eligibility: The competition is open to any musician wishing to create an original work for saxophone and piano.

Required Materials:

1. Application form.

2. Original score and set of parts of the work to be considered, unidentified except for title.

3. MIDI realization or acoustic reading of the work, unidentified except for title (optional).

4. Applicant’s name, address, phone, email and a brief biography of the composer (250 words maximum) for publication in the NASA Biennial Conference Program.
