NASA Competition Winners
Since 1990 the North American Saxophone Alliance has sponsored classical performance and jazz improvisatio
n competitions every two years in conjunction with its Biennial Conference (for a list of past winners, please see below). A saxophone quartet competition was added to the line-up in 2008. For the 2010 competition there were 58 soloists, 26 quartets, and 21 jazz musicians who competed. Thank you to competition coordinators Connie Frigo, David Dees, and Will Campbell for organizing three exciting competitions!
