Renowned University of Illinois Professor of Saxophone, Debra Richtmeyer and
Selmer and Vandoren Artist, Michael Holmes will lead The Illinois Summer Youth
Music (ISYM) Saxophone Camp at the University of Illinois. Students will
participate in private lessons, master classes, seminars, saxophone quartet, and
saxophone large ensemble.  Aspects of saxophone performance that will be
covered include tone production, vibrato, articulation, reeds, intonation,
practice techniques and equipment.  Students will have the opportunity to play
multiple saxophones (soprano,tenor and baritone) and will be coached in the
performance of selected standard repertoire with piano accompaniment. The
final concert will include performances by saxophone soloists with piano,
saxophone quartets, and the saxophone large ensemble conducted by Professor
Richtmeyer.
